The site just had a spack attack and wouldn't let me post pics or write more, hence a part 2. We were awake early thins morning and down for a beautiful Belgian breakfast of bread and home-made jam, smoked ham and three types of cheeses, home-made custard croissant made with yoghurt and cream- totally yum- and an assortment of fruit and yoghurts which I couldn't fit in. Keeley and Stacey went off to do the washing, and what a washing it was! Luckily Keeley and Stacey have a four poster bed from which to hang it! It looks like a Chinese laundry!
Off to post a birthday card to Lexi, found stamps but could not find a postbox, walked miles and ended up in the market square where I ran into Elizabeth and Lorelle, who were checking out the clothes. ( cheap prices) I bought a cat suit for Keeley, a red cyclamen for Patrick, and Zot beer for me! I walked quickly back to Het Wit Beertje, as this is the first time I have had cash and both my travel money cards as I didn't know that mine would work. Talk about nervous. I made sure I made eye contact with everyone, except I passed what appeared to be a blind man leaning against a car with a white stick and as soon as I passed, I could hear the stick tap-tapping behind me. I managed to stay calm, and not break into a run! After Stacey's experience of being robbed on the train in Brussels, I am extra cautious. The pickpocket managed to lift her wallet with all her money and her cards out of her jeans pocket without her feeling a thing!

After a bit more R&R, I headed out again with only 50 euro with the intention of finding the canal boats to take a ride. I followed the pretty path along the canal but could not find the boats, but I did end up finding the psychiatric hospital! The residents must be allowed out on a Saturday to do their shopping. You could pick them from their weird dress combinations. I fitted right in! I had my Russian hat on, grey pants, black top, and green jumper tied round my waist, with my olive green buff tied round my wrist! I could have walked in without question!
More R&R followed by Zot beer and burgers and an assortment of delicacies; baked custard pie, coconut pie, profiteroles and a chocolate-blueberry delight. We couldn't even make it to the Belgian chocolate seashells! Looks like I'll have to walk to the station tomorrow after that feast! Off to Luxembourg!
